It's crucial for swimmers to relax as they swim. This is especially important for learners as they try to coordinate all the movements the teacher is asking them to perform. While a swimmer is in the water they are on their own; a runner can listen to tips from the coach but this is not possible for a swimmer. Having the gentle beep of the Wetronome to guide the young learner's stroke provides the background rhythmic prompt while allowing the swimmer to concentrate on other aspects of their technique. |

Here's one story of an 8 year old and his first Wetronome experience:
"I asked him to swim up and back at the indoor pool
and counted his stroke rate. He was going at about 20 per minute. I set the
Wetronome to 40 and set him off using the beat for both arms. His stroke instantly
became more regular, his kicking improved and he was going faster!"
"I noticed that he wasn't stretching out enough with his hands in front
of him, so I slowed the beat to 30 and said that I wanted him to have his
arm stretched out as far as possible when he hears the beep. Again he swam
faster (with less effort as his arms were going slower!)"
"I asked him his impression. He said he found it much easier to swim
with the Wetronome on. He was happy with the volume and can we go and play
on the slides now please!!"
Remember, the cost of a Wetronome is spread over years of formative swimming experience. Compared to other swimming equipment, the Wetronome is good value for money.
The Wetronome is safe and easy to use. Kids do not perceive using the Wetronome as work, it's all play! The programming wand can be attached to a pool bag or key chain and the bright colour ensures the Wetronome does not go astray.
The Wetronome is being used by more and more swimming schools. We have distributors for the swimming community in across Australia and we are rapidly pursuing more channels. In the meantime, you can also buy from us online. We use Australia Post's ExpressPost service for next delivery to Australian capital cities.
